Does inHand require any extra hardware or software to be
installed?
inHand comes with free software for your pc or laptop that offers you an
enhanced Outlook functionality. It is online software, therefore doesn’t
require any installation and you will be provided a login name and
password. inHand does not require any hardware to be installed; there is no
need to purchase extra servers or any other equipment. That means that there
are no hidden costs.
Does it require any IT skills?
inHand is user friendly and does not require any specialized computer
skills. It is very simple to use, as inHand doesn’t require any software or
hardware installation. You just need to click on the link that we provide in
a text message and the application will automatically start downloading on
your phone.
Is my data safe?
inHand uses SSL security to encrypt your data. In addition, personal data is
encrypted in our database.
If you’re mobile device is lost or stolen?
All your data is secure and safely backed up in the office. You always have
access to real time data directly from your computer and no data is stored
on the device. To block inHand just call the free line or log into inVue and
change your password.
Does it require data access?
Yes. Please refer to your network provider.
What file formats are supported?
inHand supports all the most common file formats, (Microsoft Word, Microsoft
Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint®, Adobe® PDF and any of the above archived in
.zip format).
What is the maximum size for attachments?
The maximum size for attachment is 10meg. However, exceptions can made if
required.
Does inHand operate on any network?
Yes, inHand operates on any Network. You can keep using your current
contract with your airtime provider; or you can buy a new contract or
upgrade your current contract.
Does inHand work with any device?
Yes, inHand operates on most phone models, on PDA s and even on the
Blackberry Device!
Is inHand fully supported?
Yes, inHand is fully supported. We have bronze, silver and gold support
depending on your requirements.
Does it include training?
The product is very easy to use but we offer online tutorials, we can also
arrange training sessions for small groups and you can always contact us on
the support line if you have any question on how to use the system.
How much is the charge for data access?
This entirely depends on your mobile phone provider and network. The cost
for a day usage, calculated on the average spending of our client base, is
between 10 and 30 pence.
Do I need to upgrade my inHand regularly?
inHand is upgraded regularly, the upgrades are included in the price and you
will be notified via text message or email.
How do I install inHand on my mobile phone?
You will receive a text message with instruction. The process is very
simple, you just need to click on the link we provide in the text message
and the application will automatically start downloading on your phone.
Is there a minimum contract?
No, there is no minimum contract. You will be invoiced at the end of each
month. To unsubscribe to our service you just need to contact us or stop the
payments.
Do I have access to real data?
Customers have access to live data in real time. Anything you update on the
mobile phone will simultaneously update your system in the office (e.g. no
need to delete emails when you go back to the office) All the deleted emails
will go in your trash folder and can be retrievable in case of deletion by
mistake.
Does inHand use Push Technology?
inHand does not use “Push Technology” for emails. 'Push’ Technology enables
messages to be automatically routed to your mobile phone while you are on
the go. But costs every time an email is transferred from your office
mailbox onto your mobile device. Therefore, you are charged for transferring data. inHand reduces the amount of data transmitted. Allowing you to see only the
emails you like.
Can I upload a document?
At the moment, inHand cannot upload documents. However, we are currently
working on this task and this function will be released soon!
